What is a Product Set?

A Product Set is a filtered view of your feed data. Instead of generating a catalog for every row in a feed, you can define a set that includes only products that match rules you choose (for example, category = Electronics, discount over 20%, or a single brand).

Sets are defined once and reused across multiple catalogs. When the feed changes, the set updates automatically: rows that fall outside the filter drop out, and rows that newly qualify are added.

Sets are dynamic
Unlike static lists, sets are evaluated dynamically on every generation cycle. If a product's price drops and now qualifies for your "Discounted Items" set, it will automatically appear in the next generation. No manual updates needed.

Creating a Product Set

Navigate to Sets in the left sidebar and click + Add Set. Define the set name, select the source feed, and configure the filter rules. Filter rules can be combined with AND/OR logic to create precise product selections.

Filter TypeExampleUse Case
Category equalscategory = "Electronics"Category-specific campaigns
Price rangeprice <= 100Budget product promotions
Brand equalsbrand = "Nike"Brand-specific ad campaigns

Using Sets in Catalogs

When creating or editing a catalog, the Select Set field allows you to optionally scope the catalog to a specific set. If no set is selected, the catalog includes all products in the feed. If a set is selected, only products matching the set's filter criteria will be included in the catalog generation.

Multiple catalogs, one set
A single set can be used by multiple catalogs. For example, you might use a "Summer Sale" set to power both a Facebook catalog and a TikTok catalog simultaneously, each with their own design template.

Tags

Tags are labels you can apply to products in your feed to create flexible groupings that go beyond column-based filtering. Tags are managed in the Tags section of the sidebar and can be referenced in set filter rules.

Tags help when a grouping does not map cleanly to one column, such as cross-category labels like Featured, New Arrivals, or Clearance.
